Juanita Reyes, an acrylic artist born and raised in New Jersey, found her creative voice in Saint Augustine, Florida, where she relocated in 2009 with her husband and four children. The move was motivated by her desire to provide her daughter, Emely, with the opportunity to attend the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind. For many years, Juanita dedicated herself fully to raising her family, putting her passion for art on hold.

In 2022, with the encouragement of Emely, Juanita rekindled her artistic journey, showcasing her vibrant acrylic paintings at a local gallery in Saint Augustine. Her distinctive works, known for their rich textures, expressive color palettes, and intricate dimension, quickly gained recognition. Juanita’s portfolio includes captivating street scenes from Saint Augustine, abstract florals bursting with color and energy, and abstract pieces that explore texture and value with remarkable depth.

Juanita’s dedication to her craft is evident, despite maintaining a full-time job. She paints almost every day, continuously pushing herself to evolve as an artist.
