Nadya Hizer's Portfolio

I have always loved painting but was able to begin to pursue my passion in painting at age 52. We moved to Palatka in 2009, and I found the class at the Larimer Arts Center in 2013, with our wonderful teacher Patrick Rausch. When Patrick moved away, our group enjoyed each other’s company so much, we continued to meet in the “underground studio.” After some experimenting with Acrylic, I found Oil to be my favorite medium because of the richness of color that can be achieved with it, the sensual feel of it as I paint. My favorite subjects are still life, especially flowers, and beautiful nature in land and seascapes. The subjects and techniques are still evolving, as I seem to learn something new with every painting. I feel blessed to continue to have the time and desire to paint.

Gathering Artists Of Putnam

Hello Art Lovers,

As you might have noticed, Gathering Artists of Putnam is no longer residing at 712 St. Johns Ave. The building is undergoing additional renovations by Saylor's, to enhance their vibrant business!

That does not mean GAP is gone! As we continue to create Art and search for a more permanent home, we still have art available for viewing and purchasing! We have a series of featured artists exhibitions planned for The St. Johns River Center, 102 N.1st St Palatka, starting with Alain Hentschel's NEW WORK, opening reception on Friday, October 10. More collaborations could happen as well, so follow our Facebook Page to stay in the loop.

We are excited as we plan for our future home at the Larimer Arts Center coming soon. Stay tuned!
