RoAnn Elias Portfolio

"I love to paint and create. I can lose myself for hours exploring the elements of texture, form and color. Their effects can change the emotional feel of a painting. My paintings span a wide array of subjects, but they always reflect our shared human experience."

RoAnn Elias is a Florida contemporary painter of acrylic and mixed media pieces. Her interest in art began as a young child when she fell in love with the colorful tissue paper art of a favorite children’s book. The layering of transparent color and the use of different textures still inspire many of her current works of art.

RoAnn was born in Ithaca, New York and soon after moved to the small town of Eagle Mills, New York where she lived until she left for college. RoAnn studied art and design at Santa Monica College in California and Georgia State University in Atlanta. She has studied with many nationally known figurative sculptors and painters and is herself now a highly respected teacher of Acrylic painting in the Northeast Florida Art community. She has also taught classes in sculpture and hand-built pottery.

Her work has been exhibited in many single artist and group shows and has won many awards. Currently, RoAnn is represented by The Bart, and The Beach Art Studio.

RoAnn is a member the Florida Women’s Art Association, the Garguilo Art Foundation, and the St Augustine Art Association. Find her at website is www.roanneliasfineart.com Facebook: RoAnn Elias Contemporary Artist.
